    Ground Clearance ?

    Hi

Could somebody that is building a 33 HR and used the corrugated radiator hose, tell me the ground clearance between the nose tip of the bottom radiator grill and the ground. Also what is the ground to corrugated radiator hose clearance. Last one frame bottom to ground clearance.

My car sits with the frame at 5.5”, the radiator hose is at 2-3/4”, radiator grill nose is 3.5”. This seems awfully close to me but I don’t want to raise the car any higher.

    Thanks for checking

I like low to, but look around your area and think about where you will be driving and set grill to clear. It would be a bad day if if you scraped the grill or hose to hard!

I just mounted the radiator and grill the other day, don't have the corrugated hose on yet.
The bottom of the grill to the floor measures 6.5".
The bottom of the radiator to the floor is the same.
My frame to the floor is 5.5" at the firewall.
The size wheels and tires will effect the measurements.

The above numbers are without the body on.

My grill low point has 5 13/16" clearance to the ground and the hose low point (actually a bracket holding the hose) has 5 5/16". My ride heights are 5 1/4" front and 7 3/16" on the rear which with this much rake will make the nose of the car closer to the ground than a similar "squared" ride height of ~5" front and rear. I'm running 25" tires on the front and 28" on the rear. Your 2 3/4" clearance is low so be careful out there on the mean streets of Parker.
