Mk2 427 Roadster needs new door latch. Part number and price?

After all these years my drivers side door latch is coming apart.

Does factory five still sell the original type that came with the kit I bought? Is there an upgrade available?

    Part number and how much?

    What is wrong with it?

There is a simple fix for them and I'll try to link it to you. I've had to do this for one of the latches and it takes longer to go the store for the parts then it does for the fix.

I'm not getting gray, I'm adding chrome....

Thanks Ray for link!! I will try to get started on it tomorrow. I found the link about 6 pages into the search. Maybe your mod should be a sticky.

The round circular part came off the pot metal post. I believe the carriage bolt will do the trick nicely
