Chasing down which Gen this coupe is....

Looking at an unfinished Coupe and not sure which Gen it is.
It was delivered in go faster grey - so? First gen? Were the second gens black gelcoat?
Any help appreciated ( trying to chase down the F5 chassis number too but so far no luck)

    Thanks

Not Sure About The Gel Coat Color But The Chassis Is An Easy Spot:

If the X-Bars in the front end are Square Tubes, then it is a Gen-1.
If the X-Bars in the front end are Round Tubes, then it is a Gen-2.

    In addition

    Very early bodies were blue
    Then grey
    Then black
    All gen 1

    Finally red
    Gen 2

Then they made the gen 3

I'll check the X brace - thanks for the tip.
If I can get a real deal on it I'll grab it otherwise the Gen3 looks spectacular as a weekend/cottage cruiser/track time car and as you can see by my pic I am a devoted Coyote fan.

Unless its a screaming deal, skip the gen 1 and buy the gen 3. You wont regret it.

A friend of mine has a very nice Gen-1 and a couple of years back I saw the Gen-3's at Cruising The Emerald Coast and the new version is light years ahead of the previous car.
