What could this be for?--MYSTERY SOLVED!!!

Anyone have an idea what this is for? It's mounted under the dash on the passenger side. It's an adjustable knob that is wired to a small box. The wires look like they lead to the MSD ignition box but they are broken off at the knob. I know this is not a FFR part and the MSD instructions don't mention it.

Car was purchased already built and the seller is not the builder. I'll investigate further on the weekend.

Why would you feel dumb.....Your guess at a dial-in-rev-limiter form the MSD was a great shot in the dark...… at least you didn't show us the hood pin and radiator brackets.....after you had them powder coated...….NOT POINTING ANY FINGERS !!!...da Bat
