    FFR MKIV Complete kit-Front Brakes-Question

    Hi Guys,
When I assembled the front brakes calipers on my MKIV complete kit, I applied some lithium grease to the two bracket rods-the ones which have the little rubber boots.

This was not a special grease, just white lithium grease with a melt temp of 450F. Do I need to use a special brake grease with higher melt temp?

I'm at a point that If I need to I can easily remove the calipers and apply a different grease if needed.

    Thanks
    Martin

As long as your not racing it you should be fine if you used only a small amount. There is special grease for that application though. You can buy at Auto parts stores.
