    I agree that there isn't too large of concern regarding outright strength of the 1/2-20 studs. Plus, if more strength is desired, upgrading to ARP heat-treated 8740 chrome moly studs (tensile strength of 190,000 psi or more) is always an option. I use ARP M14-1.5 studs in my 2017 Mustang which I abuse pretty hard...and change wheels out a LOT more often than the average driver. I swap between several different sets of wheels at least 4 times a month on-&-off. That leads me to my second point on stud size... my S550 wheels could fit the FFR, with the right combination of spacer(s). They have M14 stud holes and the typical 60° lug-nut cone seat. I am wondering if it's possible to use the S550 front hub on FFR's front spindle, or if I'm pushing into uncharted territory.

    It would be nice to have the full selection of S550 front brakes to choose from, since the rear end of the IRS-equipped FFR's are now S550 spec. There are three tiers of front brakes for the S550 (four if you include the GT350/R). My personal daily driver/track car, which is a GT Performance Package, has 6-piston fixed Brembo calipers with 15" rotors, and they fit inside *most* aftermarket 18" wheels and basically all 19" wheels. They're easy to find and relatively affordable (especially compared to the FFR-specific Wilwoods).

    A larger rotor size and more powerful caliper setup up front could have similar results to the smaller 10-13" front brakes with the extremely aggressive pad compounds that some find necessary to get their manual-brake cars to stop satisfactorily. If it takes a racing pad compound to get good brakes on the street, how well will that same setup perform on track?
