    My next door neighbor.

    Hello.

So I moved to FL last week. I was little worried about my neighborhood HOA may not like my mk4 roadster.
You know, the sound, working on it and such...

Well, I pulled up in our new driveway and was pleasantly suprised. My nextdoor neighbor have the same car!!
67 Cobra built by ShellValley. It is a beast, big block, carburated 630HP. Way, way louder!

We instantly bonded and started talking...what is the freaking chance to have two cobras next to each other?! Happy.IMG_20180812_075907_01.jpg

Too funny, what are the chances of that? I would though still be careful driving out of the HOA as one may be tolerated but two may too much for some. Easy cruising out will make good neighbors.

I have noticed over the years here in SoCal that when you drive through any plain jane neighborhood on a Sat or Sun when garage doors are up.... its amazing all the treasures that hide behind closed doors that you never knew where there. The dream lives on and that gives me faith. Esp here in Cal where they try to tax and regulate everything out of existence.

It is funny you bring this up. I just bought a new house west of Milwaukee and on my way to the inspection I see a baby-blue with white racing stripes cobra go cruising down the road. It is now my goal to figure out who that was. Truly a small world.

Dang, I am surrounded by SUVs. Nobody even seems to work on their cars around me. My next door neighbor had his hood up when I drove home a couple years ago, so I walked over to offer a hand. He said his check engine light was on and he did not even know what to check for other then that the engine was still there and the oil showed on the dipstick. His gas cap was on and the car ran okay, so I told him it was probably his O2 sensor based on the car's millage. He ended up taking it to the dealer and they ended up replacing the O2 sensor like I guessed and it cost around what I told him to expect. Ever since then my neighbor has called me Engine Whisperer and seems to think I wield some form of magic. Wish I had neighbors who wanted to come over a check out my project and maybe even help out instead. The kids all thought it was cool when the FFR delivery truck showed up with my kit but I think the adults like my coworkers feel I am a lunatic.

I count myself lucky in that regard as I have 2 daughters arguing over who gets it when I’m gone.
