    Popping Noise While Driving

I have a Gen III that is now on the road, but I hear a popping noise happening at any speed and it doesn't have anything to do with the engine/exhaust or bumps in the road. It happens a lot...every 5 seconds. It must be quite loud because I can hear it over the noise of the Factory 5 side pipes. Anyone experienced this?

Hmmm - is it coming from the rear of the car? Differential? With LSD's I've punished in the past I know they make loud popping noises, but not usually driving in a straight line.

My first inclination is the body heating up by the pipes, but how much moving around can happen there! It seems to be coming from in front of the rear wheels or under the seats.

Popping to me indicates 'binding' of some kind. Maybe your driveline or suspension is binding?.....that's a long shot I think. Transmissions don't usually 'pop'....

I was thinking the same thing - maybe a u-joint. Anything making contact with the u-joints like e-brake cables, etc.? How's your pinion angle?

I believe it was the body touching the frame down by the pipes. I insulated it with the heavy foam tape from the kit and not a sound out of it since.
