Converting to 3 point seat belts

    Hi
I am looking for ideas for mounting 3 point seat belts instead of a harness on the 33 Hot Rod. I know I have seen this in the past but I can not fine them now that I am ready. I am having trouble fitting the pull cartridge next to my Boyd tank. I know lots of you have done this and I would like to know your solutions.

    Thanks

    Tom,
I mounted my retractor on the lower outside bracket for the lap belt, and used .250" wall tubing for the upper mount with a .250" top plate. I drilled and tapped the top to accept the upper bolt and mounted the tube into the roll bar mounts. I hope that makes sense, if not hopefully the pictures help.

I wanted to keep my roll bar so used a roll bar accessory clamp from Speedway Motors p/n 91032866. and mounted the retractor on the lower out side along with the lap belt

With the accessory clamp I actually was able to have both the 3 point and the Simpson harness coexist. 3point lets me reach the "comfort" accessories for street drives.

I welded two tabs to the roll bar and pinned it. The tabs sticking out were worrisome but I can turn the roll bar around so the tabs face backwards, maybe. I did not use retractable belts, I could not get the retractor in at the bottom mounts. I presume I could have put the retractor on the tabs. Last pic is for contrast. I did not mind the harness but my wife hated it.
