    Mileage?

Been driving my coupe about 18 months now, proud to have almost 21K miles on it! I get 26-28 MPG on the HWY doing between 80-100 mph, its really been good beyond my expectations. We built it as a daily driver and its only let me down once, a silly burnt wire to the fuel pump. Curious if anyone else uses theirs as a daily driver? Why not????

What motor? What gears? Excellent mpg. I'm impressed. But the coupe being as aerodynamic as it is (high CD), has a real advantage over the cobra especially at highway cruising speeds.

Yep I was pretty shocked at the mileage myself. Got a LS2 with the Tremec 6 speed and 3:55 rear, so at 80 I'm turning about 1800 RPM. Its almost idling! Both 5th and 6th are overdrive, 4th is 1:1. Great setup. This is with AC on too, and of course hammering it on the on ramps!

Not a daily driver but I have almost 6,000 miles on my Hot Rod so far with averaging 23 MPG. That includes a 1,700 mile trip on labor day weekend.

Glad to see folks are driving these cars and not just looking at them in a garage. They really do work well and are well engineered. It's super cool driving a race car every day. Guy at the gym told me he likes me car now better than when new, because....its got nicks and some scratches in the front, pipes are dark around the exit.....obviously no hangar queen so that made it that much better for him (and me)! Maybe I'll try and be the high mileage coupe guy!

I second this. I can't wait to put seat time on our machine - we're only a month or so away from completion, hope to get a drive in before the snow flies!

Hmmm...pretty sure mine is 3:55 also, I have Tremec with .68 in 6th and I'm doing 1700 at 80! What am I missing?

I don't think tire diameter will change it that much... mine is a 3.55:1 and yours is 3:55... there is the difference! (joking around) My rpm sounds more realistic doesn't it??? If you were going 60mph it would be idling.

Basically true, I'll check it today, but generally I don't even think about 6th until 80!

Ok tried it today, at 60 mph: 4th 2900 RPM, 5th 2000 RPM, 6th 1300 RPM. Shes a highway star, love the 6 speed!

so we both have the same final gear (.68) and we are 500 rpm apart? My tire O.D. is roughly 25-11/16".
