    E-Brake cable route

I am ready to make the final install of Wilwood rear brakes on a Moser three link and I have a choice of either a forward or rear facing connection for the E-brake cables. I am seeing plenty of examples of calipers going either way. The rear-facing mount appears to create a large U-shaped bend under or around the rear shock mounts and looks a bit awkward. Would a front connection be more direct? Advice either way would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
