Recommendations for upgraded 5-point harness - camlock

After riding in a MK4 recently with camlock harnesses, I want them. I sold my Simpsons and now need to find replacements. Impact racing has a nice harness for $150, but it is only 2" webbing. The 3" webbing version is twice the money. I think the 3" fits the look of the car better, but I understand the 2" is more comfortable (which I am sure my wife will prefer). I don't plan on racing. What brands and size do you guys recommend?

I've used Simpson, Stroud and RCI in my dragsters over the years. In my experience the Simpson and stroud were way easier to adjust than the RCI. The two inch would definitely be more comfortable but I agree with you the three inch looks better.

The "dog bone" shoulder straps on the 3" harness may be the best of both worlds. Thanks for the replies.

I've been very happy with my G-Force 2" cam lock harness. Easy for my wife, daughter, dad, mom, etc to use.

If for cruising, forget the looks of the 3" and go for comfort and less shirt sweat that comes with the 2". People aren't looking at your harness anyway.

I went with camlock form day one. They are much easier to use.

Just made the mistake of buying a pull-down lap belt that is difficult to tighten.
The pull-up lap belt is easier to adjust.

Next time I’m going with this model:

If you go with a different model of pull-up, avoid FIA pull-up model as the lap mount and adjuster are sew-in, making it impossible to locate the adjuster location with respect to the seat.

I went with Schroth for my Coupe build. Talked about in this build thread post, including how they function like a 5-point without the crotch belt: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...l=1#post336627. I'm really impressed with them. Quality appears to be top notch. But so is the price.

I use RCI 3" and cut the labels off. I like em, but had to make my own pulls to loosen the belts.
