    Newbie Question re trunk hinges

This might seem a silly question but

I want to take the fittings off the trunk lid to treat them (Powder coat or chrome I'm not sure which yet). If I remove the screws that hold them on what happens to the fitting in the lid do I lose them inside the lid.

Thanks Jeff Thought it might be something like that but did not want to risk losing a fitting inside the trunk lid to find out

Hi Keith, One thing I've observed about the forum; there are no silly questions, and lots of great input and advice.
I "finished" my roadster a little over a year ago. It took me just over a year to get it on the road, but I keep making improvements. It was an adventure, but it is so cool driving a car you built yourself.
    Good luck!
    Joel
