What goes here!! (near door hinge)

Just as the title states. I know my dash will cover a portion of the back side of the body here. I'm waiting on my carpet to arrive today and plan on installing as soon as it makes it in. Dash is ready to install and seats are ready as well. A quick cleanup, interior door trims and latches are all that is left. If i need to spray or treat this area i'd like to get in to asap so it has a chance to dry. Thanks for the help

P.S. Here is how she sits as of now.

I'm assuming you mean the raw red fiberglass. Nothing covers it. I painted mine (and the entire underside of the body) with black truck bed liner.

Thanks John. I have the majority of the underside undercoated... didn’t think that there would be a need in this area. I’ll hit it this morning and hopefully it will be dry by later this afternoon.

You can also use some carpet if you have extra. I think it looks better then paint.

I will have plenty of carpet. I was send an 818 carpet kit. The guys at factory five sent me over the correct carpet.. I’ll have the 818 to play with.

I put carpet on mine. You don't really see it, but it feels more finished.

OK, I'll admit it. My wife was the instigator.

I applied some bed liner material to the spot and I will see what i can do with the extra carpet that I have. Carpet is going better than I had thought. Rear wall, corners, and transmission tunnel are all completed with no fuss. Hope to have the carpet and dash done this afternoon and jump on the remainder of the interior in the morning. Specs are running and the little man wants to go fishing so it sunday may have to give way to other hobbies!
