Fuel Pick Up: Send & Receive Fuel Ports

The manual on pages 149-150 recommends drilling the send & receive lines to increase their inside diameter. In both cases, send and Receive, it recommends starting with a ¼ inch drill bit then going to a 9/32 inch to bore out a larger hole. This works fine for the send line but not for the return which is significantly smaller in diameter to begin with.

    Any ideas or experiences?

There is a typo in the manual where it describes which size bits to use for the return line, but the correct bit sizes are listed in the "tools" section at the beginning of the section titled "Fuel Pick-Up Prep". The 1/8 and 5/32 are for the smaller return port and the 1/4 and 9/32 or 19/64 are for the supply port.
