    heater solenoid

i am trying to find out why my heater core is not getting flow. i have searched but not found a digram of fluid flow of the cooling system. the solenoid was installed with the labeled to "heater core" going to the core but i suspect since the other side goes to the expansion tank suspect the flow might be the other way. can someone please tell me which way this should be installed?

There's a thread on the "other" site that might help, I actually looked it up yesterday for my build.
