New 33 hot rod fuel tank

I知 wondering if anyone has sent the new style tank out to be pressure tested. I知 planning to get mine done next couple weeks. Just seems to be not at well made as I think it should be. I知 hoping Boyd welding will come out with the new style. The quality also looks to be a lot better

That seems like a basic requirement - I'd be amazed if FFR don't pressure test before sending out. But, no, I don't know.

Can't compare Boyd to FFR, as I bought the Boyd tank for my build for 1 simple reason - The Boyd tank provides flexibility for filler placement whereas the new FFR tank has the filler in the trunk and it can't be moved. Not sure why Boyd would want to change their design as it seems to work well according to those that have used it unless I missed something.

I have the new FFR fuel tank. I vacuum checked it, it was fine.
My kit came with the old style tank which was OK too, just didn't like the location of the fill port.
Anybody want my old tank? It's never had fuel in it, only mounted in the chassis.
It's boxed up and ready to go, pay shipping from 87043 and it's yours.
It's too good to toss, someone must need one or one to mod into a bigger tank??

I'm still trying to give away my fuel tank, info here.
If you don't like the fill port location and have a MIG or TIG you could modify it.
If your interested shoot me your Zipcode and I'll figure out the shipping cost.....
Maybe I'll help pay a little of the shipping just to get it out of my garage.
    Somebody please buy it.
