    Painting Power Steering Rack

I'd like to paint, or maybe clear coat, my power steering rack. My question is this: does the PS rack get hot, that I would need to use Hi-temperature paint? Does anyone have a suggested product that worked well for them in this application?

You don't need hi-temp paint. It should never get too hot for ordinary paint.

On my Type 65 Coupe, I recently used Dupli-Color Engine Enamel Gloss Clear. Yes, it 's good to 500 degrees, but that's not why I specifically used this spray paint. I've got enough black going on in the front end and wanted to show off and preserve the bright clean metals and design of the power steering rack.

I think I put Shark Hide on mine, not running yet.
