Factory Five provides 4 gauge wire for the main battery power and ground. Many (me included) upgrade to 2 gauge. I've heard of some going even bigger, but personally I don't think it's necessary. The kit provided wire probably would be fine. I just like the extra insurance. Multiple builders have reported starting issues, especially when hot, and larger battery cables seem to help.

Been running #2 wire for the main hot lines & the braided flat wire for grounds. The Battery, Engine & Grounding studs all are flat wired to the chassis.

Hi Mark - It depends on the length of the cable run. If you go with the 70561 engine compartment battery mounting kit (short cable run) you can use the 4-gauge positive cable that comes in the FFR Kit plus the 4-gauge negative and ground cables plus ground jumper that come in the 70561. 70561 also eliminates the need for remote terminals and I find I do not use the cut-off switch much.
With the battery in or under the trunk which I do not recommend, I would up-size to to a 2 gauge positive cable.
    Hope that helps!

You will have no issues spinning a coyote with th the 4 guage wire that comes with the kit. They work just fine for that application. Higher compression engines , or less efficient starters might have issues.

The coyote will be just fine.
