    Rear Springs

MKIV, New model IRS, FFR Koni's with 400 lb springs on the rear.
While putting the nut and bolt stuff on the car, I probably did not notice or question the spring rate.
Recently, I noticed the 400 lb rear springs. Are these too stiff for cruising and occasional track passes? If I need to change them, now would be time for me.
    thanks,

My 20th Anniversary Roadster with the same setup -- 2015+ IRS, dual action Koni's, 400 lb springs, and sway bar -- rides really well. Smooth and quite compliant. Not harsh at all. Everyone who rides in it, and I've given a bunch of rides, comments about how nice it rides. And our roads here in Michigan are not the best. Others may suggest lighter springs, and I admit I haven't used anything but the 400 lb ones. But I'm very happy with them.

Edwardb, glad you responded. I wanted to hear your evaluation of the springs. I am sure they will be OK, now.

To some extent ride is a personal taste thing. Ride is also heavily dependent on shocks. I upgraded to the 2015 irs on my MkII and prefer 350# springs w/ my DA QA1s
FFR MkII, 408W, Tremec TKO 500, 2015 IRS, DA QA1s, Forte front bar, APE hardtop.

A 50 lb difference may not be out of range for OK. I have a '23 T bucket with a buggy spring front and rear, so I will know if it is too stiff. Thanks for the input.
