    Fuel hat from ffr

Im gonna need a lot more fuel. Currently I have a 250 lph external and the ffr tank and fuel hat. Is the hat a box stock fox body Mustang hat? If I get a new hat that would fit the Mustang tank, with an in tank 450lph pump, will it swap out, save maybe having to set the pickup depth (which isn't right from ffr consequently)? Reason I ask is I have to either swap or highly modify the hag anyway for a bigger suction like so I I'm gonna swap it, might as well go in tank for the pump.

Can't answer your question but will remind you to also look at the size of the vent while you're at it.

Yeas it's a stock Mustang fuel pickup module.

Like this from LMR for an in-tank pump, or THIS for an external pump.

Vent size shouldn't be a problem. I think it's larger than fox Mustang

Awesome. Thanks. That's gonna make my tuner very happy. A single 450 lph in tank will work just fine. Unless it fails.....

Just remember any thing you put in the tank must be able to removal for service with the body on. It is a PIA to remove the body just to service/replace pump. I modified my tank so I can remove it with the body on. I have to remove the waterfall then I can slide the tank out

How did you modify your tank to do this? Cause that's crossed my mind and also why I may use the hat with external pump to allow for pump removal. The chances of the hat needing repair would.be slim.

Tank mod's are hard to explain,I do not have any pic's, I trimmed the lower left rear corner (driver side) to allow the tank to slide all the way to the left. I trimmed the right side front corner to allow it to moved forward and aft. I could then install/remove the tank. After trimming I cut sheet metal plates and welled in place. I lost about 1 pint capacity. I suggest with the body on try to install the tank from the front see where the interference is and trim to slide in
I removed the hat and installed "Tank Inc" in tank fuel pump module p/n PA4.
