New Gen II GTM Hood Louvers Available....Prevent Gen II overheating issue

Many of my Gen II customers have complained that once their car is finished and on the road, they have overheating issues. They are fine when go-karting and fine with the engine running in the shop with the hood off or open, but with the hood closed, there simply isn't enough venting to get the heat out of the radiator with the factory Gen II vents in the hood. Most of my customers have resorted to cutting big holes in the wheel-well aluminum to try to vent the radiator heat into the wheel wells...which is normally a high-pressure area itself, so not a great path for air to flow to. These louvers are designed to install during your build, or you can even install them after your car is finished and painted.

They are listed on this page under the "Heat Management" section with the other Gen II parts:

I may also develop a "full length" louver that fills that whole area between the existing louvers for even more airflow. Let me know your thoughts......

Another great product from Shane. Should really help get that hot air out from the radiator.

I'm guessing when you say "full length" louvers, you are going to match the length of the current Gen II hood louvers? Not sure if that would be too much for my taste, but I'm only one guy .

Yeah, that was the plan...to make the front and back of the louvered panel flush with the front and back of the existing recesses in the hood. Might not be as pretty, but for those looking for max airflow, it would provide a larger opening.

You are absolutely correct about max airflow.
