    IRS driveshaft adapter

MkIV, IRS, manual transmission. I just finished installing the IRS, and went to bolt on the driveshaft adapter. It doesn't fit inside the pinion flange. The inside diameter of the flange is exactly 110mm. The diameter of the adapter is 112mm and change. The adapter is the yellow one that is described in the manual. Anyone else run into this? I can try and add pics later today.

Same thing. I used the other adapter. I think it came with the driveshaft.

I had the same issue... FF sent me the correct one with just asking them... FYI, The one I received that fit perfect was silver... I had a dark brown/black one that was 112mm

Do you have an aluminum or iron center section?

This should be a qualifying question by FFR when they confirm your kit order.
The adapters are different depending upon the diff center section.

I have the yellow one and it fit perfect into the IRS flange. I have the iron center section if that helps.

Yeah....... The one I got was shipped with the IRS that was also shipped at the same time as the rest of the kit... I don't really think they look at the individual parts, just order them and send them out. Either way, so far FF has been johnny on the spot with fixing any problems I had with my kit. And I'm the 2nd owner of the kit...

So my diff was iron (pinion flange was 110mm), and the adapter was yellow (~112mm).

and also check your drive shaft fits the adaptor. On mine the bolt pattern was different from the standard 8.8 straight axle and we went through 3 or 4 drive shafts to get the correct one.
