Looking for something that I'm not sure exists. I have a customer that is replacing his Brandwood cable shifter with a Numeric shifter. The cables from the Brandwood unit are the perfect length and would work great with the Numeric unit.....but one end of each cable is threaded to M6 and has the 10mm ball sockets to connect to the linkage on the transaxle.....and the other end is threaded to 1/4-28 to connect to the standard sized rod ends at the cable shifter. So...to connect to the Numeric shifter, I need one 10mm ball socket cable end (with female 1/4-28 threads) and one spherical rod end with 12mm ID (with female 1/4-28 threads).
In my searches, it appears that either these ends are all metric or all inch/standard......I can't find such a thing as a ball socket or rod end that has 1/4-28 threads and then has 10mm ball socket or 12mm ID rod end. All of the 10mm ball sockets and 12mm ID rod ends all have metric threads. Anyone know of such a beast that will work for me?
The other option....The opposite end of the cable is threaded 6mm-1.0. So if I could just find the 10mm ball sockets with 1/4-28 thread, I could use that end of each cable on the transaxle side and then find the 12mm rod end with 6mm-1.0 threads for the shifter side.
