    Fuel Pump

I recently spoke to FF5 about which fuel pump to use. ( Planning on a Coyote 5.0 engine. ) They recommended Walbro 255. I think I misunderstood what they recommended and purchased the fuel pump with the in-tank set up. Can I use and in-tank pump or does it have to be in-line?

In-tank is just fine and generally preferred, although either will work.

Thanks. Does the car wiring harness allow for the plug-in on the pump housing?

Yes the Ron Francis harness has wiring in the rear harness for an in-tank fuel pump. For a Coyote build, that wiring is still used, but you break into the RF fuse panel so that it's actually powered by the Coyote wiring harness. Sounds confusing, but it's not. Covered in the FF Coyote installation instructions.

The harness will plug in directly to an in-tank pump. When you ordered the pump, did you also get the in-tank frame and mesh screen? If so, it will install exactly like the fuel pick-up that comes with the complete kit. It should look something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Spectra-Premi...el+pump+hanger

You should be happy with that. In tank pumps tend to last much longer.

Yes. That's exactly the harness I purchased. Thanks everyone for their help.
