For those of you who have the new plastic dash, the dash folds in around the oblong steering hole about an inch or so. Can this be cut off or does it serve some purpose? I know those that have the metal dash subs don't have this. I ask as I'm about to cut the 1-3/4" hole that is needed for the RT Turn Signal and when the dash is fitted to the hoop, the fold in piece of plastic basically sits on top of the pillow block platform that extrudes out from the frame. In other words, the dash can only move so far down, because of the interference. It seems to be OK there, as the steering column looks like it will be just above center when the RT Turn Signal assembly is in place, but is this coincidence or was it designed to do that? I'm thinking coincidence but wanted to check with you guys...
