    Aftermarket wheel and Tire Size

I am not going to lie the factory five replica wheels aren't my favorite. I don't mind them but Im not in love with them.

The Factory Five wheel specs taken from their video are:

    18x9 w/ 24mm offset / 6” backspace
    18x11 w/ 12mm offset / 6.4” backspace
    255/35/r18
    315/30/r18

I am strongly considering this in Vintage Silver:

    https://www.americanracing.com/wheel/50962/vn510

I am lost in the specs... I would get the 8" wheels for the front and the 10" wheels for the back.

For the front there is one Option
    VN51088012400 - 18x8 w/ 0mm offset and 4.50 backspace - This would have a 265/35/r18 Perilli P Zero Trofeo R

    For the rear
    VN51081012400 - 18x10 w/ 0mm offset and 5.5 backspace - This would have a 295/30/r18 Perilli P Zero Trofeo R
    VN51081012412 - 18x10 w/ 12mm offset and 5.97 backspace - This would have a 295/30/r18 Perilli P Zero Trofeo R

    My concerns:
    - Rear tire width... Is it adequate?
    - Will the front wheels stick out with a 0 offset? Do I even have this concept right?
    - With a 12mm off set in the back on a 10" is that the same as the offset on an 11" wheel?

Ultimately I want to know will they fit (front and rear) and what rear combo should I use?

Ive watched youtube videos and still can't seem to grasp this concept. Thanks for your input.

    willtheyfit.com

So after reading the FAQ and numerous youtube videos I googled wheel calculator and I found this website Will They Fit. Here are my results. I really liked the graphical element that shows the difference between the old and the new against the suspension. I am very visual person so seeing the comparison was very helpful and the explanation is great as well.

The rear wheels will install with more clearance to the rear suspension and they will not stick out anymore than the FFR wheels.

As far as the front wheels. Those will also have more clearance to the front suspension than the FFR will but will poke out 11mm wider.

I don't think poking out 1 cm is going to make a huge difference, I just don't want the sidewall to rub is this is enough to matter? any thoughts?

Also 295s in the rear is that wide enough my Tesla P100D has 265s and my 2015 BMW M3 has 295s.... Seems plenty wide what do you guys think?

On the front with the FFR spindles and the 18 inch FFR wheels there is lots of room to go wider so you will be good. On the back with standard width new style IRS and the 18 inch FFR wheels we are all using spacers 1 to 1.25 inches.

So I am going to keep the FFR wheels on order and build the car with them to eliminate one more variable. Once everything is built and dialed in I’ll buy a set of aftermarket wheels. 2 pairs of shoes can’t hurt

That's a really good looking wheel. I would really prefer a forged wheel, but those are great looking. I might consider these for street wheels.

These are my first choice, but a little pricey

I am looking for aftermarket wheels as well. I think the best way to look is by calling direct. Most online retailers use the “What Car do you have?”

What version of the manual did you pull that from? I have one I ordered this past summer and the last page in the entire manual is 522.

I'm also looking at aftermarket wheels and leaning heavily towards the Forgestar F14s. David in Tech said they're running 8x10s all around. The rear has a +20mm offset and a 1" spacer.

Mystery solved, you have the coupe manual (I have roadster).

I am looking as well for a set of 18s or 19 that don't need a spacer. Maybe it is pointless as most of the wheel options are mustang wheels that need a spacer but I am starting to think of going with some custom 2 piece wheels and am not sure what offset I should order if I could order any offset. I don't have the rear end of my coupe yet so I can't measure for myself yet. Do we just subtract 1 inch from the +20mm offset listed?
