    Fender flare feedback

So I have started a "small project for the car. I am on the fence for the look I have. I need feedback on the gender flares I have made. The wheels are just sitting in place as I would need to buy new wheels with the right dimensions. The flares I made are liberty walk inspired . These are rough templates to see if it
will look good. I might clean them up and hit them with primer to get a better idea. I look forward to everyone feed back.

I like what your doing. The front flares look great so far. On the rear since your there and if your inclined to, and had the thought of widening the side scoops, you might try to extend the flare to the line over the side scoop under the gas cap and keeping the same angle, extend the edge of that line to the ledge of the rocker panel. If that makes sense . This way you can do two things with one part.
    Just something to think about.

good point, I will run some tape and lines and see how it looks. here are a few other pics to try and get a better idea of where I am going. its 1' wider on the front and 2 " on the rear.

my side vents are opened up already width wise and height wise. so you are saying run the flare over to the edge of the vent or try and make a scoop?

I am running 235/40-17. I had to do a lot to keep them from rubbing during cornering and rough roads.
I drive the car on street, autocross and road courses.

I would be interested in a set of fronts if you are planning to pull a mould? My 235 R1 vented and clearance the front fenders for me so I just started playing with flair shapes using construction paper.

Ditto. Lumpyguy why did you stop the front of the front flare where you did? Why not run the shape all the way to the bottom of the bumper?

I was trying to say to in corporate a scoop into the flare. It would be an aggressive look, more race car than street car though

    Something like this ford gt..

I was trying to go with the liberty walk look allot of them stop short down the front. I have put this project on hold for now its just not working for what I have envisioned. unless I can get the look I want and have everything work It just not worth it to keep going. I might revisit it soon and re do a few things. I might abandon the liberty walk look and just make flares that work better over all

Nice work. Im really eager to build a set for mine as well. Work and life has been getting in the way tho (not a priority).

Im running 255's up front and 295's in the rear and have a temporary rubber flare in the rear to cover the width. The front gets by but i do have rubbing when i hit bridge expansion joints or other bumps with the tire slightly rubbing the inside of the flare. My plan for the rear was to incorporate the widened rear scoops as part of it or somehow incorporate my existing side scoops with the rear fender flares.

The good thing about delaying my build is that i have more time to figure out what works and what doesn't as well as think about the design a bit more.

Dont give up yet. Throw some paint on them and see how they blend in without all of the tape and primer colors.

I have MiRo 398's18x10.5 Flat Black 5-114.3 [+20mm] for the rears and MiRo 398 18x8.5 Flat Black 5-114.3 [+35mm] for the fronts. I ended up adding 10mm spacers for the fronts to clear the brembos.

Looks amazing. What offset are you using for those tire sizes? Also, wrapped or painted? It looks fantastic.
