Firewall grommet - where is it?

I am working on electrical, and pulled my wires through the front firewall. It needs a grommet. The manual says to install the grommet. I measured the hole at 1 7/8”.

I can’t find that grommet. It isn’t listed on the packing list (at least that I can find). Ace Hardware, my local electrical supply, Home Depot and Autozone all couldn’t sell me one.

Is that grommet hidden in plain sight? I can’t find it!

Many of us bought grommets from McMaster Carr:https://www.mcmaster.com/9600k231

It may be in a bag with some other wiring bits or connectors, some of that stuff was mixed together. FFR could probably send you one for free if they forgot about it.

That's funny. I've been looking for mine too. I'll look some more this weekend and let you know if I find it.

I never found one that I liked and thought would work. I ended up buying one on eBay or McMaster. I cut it so I didn't have to build the wiring harness around it (the big connectors won't fit through it), and after installing, I oriented the cut at the 12:00 position. I then added some silicone to cement it in place and prevent it from rotating.
