    rear coupe hatch hinges?

    either I am blind or its not in the manual but I did not see how to attach the rear coupe rear hatch to the hinges. It looks like it uses 1/4-20 bolts but the panel is not drilled out I have pilot holes drilled and it seems like there is aluminum in there. I am guessing it is drilled out and tapped for the 1/4-20 bolts or maybe deep nutserts?

    please advise what you coupe guys did.

    thanks

    Not sure what rev factory five sent me but it's not on that page. How is it attached to the hatch?

    You're correct that there is aluminum inside the hatch frame where the hinges are to be mounted. Mark where you want the holes, drill and tap (I tapped 1/4 x 20). There is some wiggle room in the hinge mount holes so you can adjust before tightening the 1/4" bolts. Have patience in getting the hatch tp fit , but it will eventually.

    Next, the hatch latch is explained in detail in the manual, but the hatch struts not at all. There was a good thread about this eons ago, so I'll try to find it and post later.
    Merry Christmas.

    now it's later so here's the strut thread;

    I am so glad others have blazed this trail. I wanted a plan before mangling the fiberglass on the blind hope there was something there to mount them to. I'm using a 7/32" bit for the 1/4"x20 tap.
