    Headliner

I recently decided to install the factory supplied headliner while I had the hardtop off and upside down. Now I must admit that when I did the initial inventory I opened the box and thought to myself, yep, there's the headliner, thinking that it was already cut to the proper size. Boy was I wrong, like everything else, some assembly required. Couple of questions, how do you get the wrinkles out of it where it was folded ( can it be ironed) and what is the best method to cut to size ?

Now you are going to have me checking mine tonight, I thought it was an align and glue in, that's it. Interesting! if there's trimming and then gluing I will have a local upholstery person trim and border it to fit perfectly into the space provided for it.

We went an extra effort but I like the way it turned out. Yes, lots of measuring and cutting and gluing.

Unfold it and the place it between your mattress and box springs for awhile. I did it a year in advance for my mk4, so not sure how long it'll take. But it works. Same goes for all folded material if youre using it.

Do you think placing between a few damp towels and ironing it would work?

If it was me, I would lay it out in the sun and heat it up a bit and get it to lay flat.
