    Adjustable Seats

Being "Vertically Challenged", I am researching Manual Adjustable Seats. Fwd/Aft and Height. I really like the Manual Adjust Seats like the ones in the VW Sports Type. I have seen some VW Ricaro seats that look really nice. Was thinking of a used set, and have them done when I have the Interior completed. Having sat in a completed car, forward visibility is not so good setting so low.

I built an angled seat riser that is 1/4" in the rear and 2-1/2" in the front. You could use the seat adjusters like FFR has and change the amount of height on the riser.

Thanks. I assume that means when you adjust FWD it also raises the height?

I have the Summit sliding seat brackets, sum-g1153. I then took two 1 inch aluminum angle brackets the same length and bolted one to the seat and one to slider, basically the same thing as if I purchased the Sum-G1150 brackets. That allows me a bit of adjustability in placing the seats in the car, and then the sliding front and back as I need it. That also gets the seat off the floor around 3 inches. How vertically challenged are you? I am 5'7" and all in all this seems pretty comfortable to me when I have go-carted around my neighborhood.

Larry, I installed my seats all of the way back. But you're correct, unless you put the adjusters on the bottom.

I am a tall 5'6". OK for the Army, but don't want to have a "NO FENDER BENDER" on a curb or bump. I also looked at a Kenwood Dual Camera Screen today.

I used some sliders from a Jeep website, then added more metal to raise the bottom of the seat frame up 3.5" from the floor. Visibility to the right front corner is non-existent.
I'm also looking into a dual camera stereo setup.
