FFR literature says that the Type 65 Coupe is based on the 1965 World Championship Daytona Coupe. So why call it the “Type 65”? This makes it seem as if the FFR Coupe is based on the Type 65 project that Peter Brock described as “never executed properly”1 and never saw the light of day.
Calling it the Type 65 is kind of confusing to me. Can someone help fill in some missing history here? I have to admit I’m just getting started in my reasearch of these beautiful cars.
