    Trunk Fitment and Gap

I am working on the trunk fitment and have an issue, I currently have the top edge of the trunk to body gap at ~1/4 and it is still rubbing a little bit when opening. What do others use for the gap size here or is there something else I may have wrong?

You have to move the lid all a round to get the best overall fit, do not cut all on top or bottom. Or the sides wont fit. On the top make sheer that lip and body are flat to get the best fit. Hope this helps.

I have a gap of 3/8"April2019X2 001.JPG. Anything less than that the lid would bind when I tryed to open it. Also when you fit the trunk lid you should do it with the gasket installed. I originally fit mine with out it, then when it was installed I had to cut down on the lip on the body so the lid would clear it. Hope this helps.

Thanks Duff. I think I am going to have to expand my gap, and I will add in the weather seal. I currently have in the spacers as recommended in the manual.
