Drive shaft adapter doesn't fit IRS yoke.

I purchased the IRS directly from FFR and it came with an adapter to mate the driveshaft with the Ford yoke however it won't fit. The diameter is about 1/8-3/16" too big. Any suggestions? I just sent an email to Tony at FFR and I'll update this post once I figure this out.

you must have got the wrong part. In my IRS builds the adapter fit fine.

There are a couple different IRS adapters. Plus as I understand the fitment has changed with later center sections. Whatever the reason, you have the wrong adapter and it's not an unusual problem. Factory Five should be able to fix you up with the right one.

I received the wrong driveshaft adapter and driveshaft with my 33. Emailed Dan at FFR and had the correct ones in a few days. Great service!

I have an IRS as well, got the correct ones however they sent new bolts that were slightly shorter after as a service bulletin, make sure you have the correct length as it does make a difference for when you torque it to ensure you don't bottom out the bolt.

I used the original bolts that came with my kit, they didn't bottom out.
Maybe they just sent shorter bolts to everyone?

I guess it is a common problem. Mine does not fit as well.
