    Under Dash Support Bracket Length

Mounting my dash with the support brackets provided in the kit. I actually made two more for equal distribution across the dash. Issue is that the stock support brackets that I have are 7" in length, so I made my other 2 the same size. The brackets that FFR supplied with previous gen kits are 6" in length and the ones Breeze sells are also 6" in length.

Issue I'm having is that when I mount the dash it sits about an inch from sitting flush at the steering wheel mount and hoop. Seems like the 6" length was perfect, and have no issues cutting them down to size, but was curious if anyone knows why they lengthened them for the new gen kits? The pillow block does extend out from the dash in the new version, but it sits relatively flush with the hoop, so 'shouldn't' have an impact.

They don't provide dash brackets! Many builders mistakenly think that's what the mounts for the donor Mustang headlight and flasher switches (bent rectangular aluminum pieces with a rectangular cut out) are for but that isn't really true. You can modify and repurpose them to suit though

Now you tell me... Those two brackets have been "nutsert'd" to my main 2" tube & dash lip for about 2 months now! Hey, whatever works - I did have to shorten them about 1/2" to get the kickout angle correct (now I know why).

My dash support is just shy of 6". I made my own full length under dash filler/support panel.

Looks great. Is that riveted or hinged on the 2” beam?

Thank you!!! I've been all sorts of confused with these brackets (length issue and the flasher cutout that doesn't match the flasher switch that came with the complete kit).
