This car was built by Midwest Cobras and Classics as a show car to illustrate to potential clients what they could build for them. All new parts, no donor parts. The car is registered as a 1965 Shelby 2DR in New Jersey. You can use classic car insurance on it if you choose. This car is an amazing Factory Five inside and out. The engine bay looks great with the Weber look-a-like EFI system. I am the second owner of this car and am a retired mechanic. I’m getting too old for this type of car. The car is FAST, turns like it’s on rails and sounds amazing with the custom exhaust. Always garage kept, never seen cold, rain, salt, etc. The car turns heads everywhere it goes. Wins an award at every local show I take it to. This car has been shaken down thoroughly. Everything works great on it.

· Forged steel crank shaft
· Ford Racing aluminum “Z” cylinder heads M-6049-Z304DA with 2.02” intake valves and 1.60” exhaust valves
· Roller rocker arms M-6564-F351
· New heavy-duty 5.8L (351) sportsman block, oil and water pumps, performance oil pan, steel billet flywheel and high-performance harmonic balancer
· Weber carb look Imagine Injection fuel system intake manifold, completely computer controlled
· DeatschWerks tuned injectors
· DTAfast S100 Pro Fuel and timing ECU
· Crank fire DIS with D585 LS2 coils mounted on valve covers with custom aluminum covers
· Innovate LC-1 wideband O2 sensor

· Transmission – Tremec R58W 5-speed with Centerforce clutch assembly
· Rear End – 8.8” Ford with 3.55 gear ratio and shortened housing to accommodate deep dish rear wheels. Moser 28-spline hardened rear axles
· Rear Suspension – 3-bar setup in rear
· New fuel pump installed August 2017
· Paint – Midnight Blue Metallic with Arctic White Stripes
· Brake system is based off 2003 Mustang Cobra, 13” front and 11” rear discs with hydro-boost
· The car has Power Steering
· Brand new battery (replaced July 2018). Battery is located in trunk compartment.
· Rear license plate is frenched in
· Wheels – 17” Halibrand look-a-like by Team III Wheels
· Kumho Ecsta tires – 315/35ZR17 rear, 275/40ZR17 front (front passenger side rim does have dent in it. This does not affect the ride or handling. Can be reshaped by local rim shop)
· Interior has carpet throughout with custom door panels made by Midwest Customs. Dash has Autometer gauges. 427 shifter handle. Simpson 5-point harnesses with Kirkey racing seats (Drivers seat is movable, on tracks). The drivers seats has 2 cuts in it from getting in and out of the car. The car has Air Conditioning and Heat.

Mods on the car:
· Changed the front lower a-arms to the Gordon Levy 3012 Koni shocks (big difference) and a SAI kit that changes the upper control arm mounting angle
· Installed a new power steering rack with a larger torsion bar for a tighter feel. Also added a bump steer kit on the tie rod ends to eliminate bump steer
· The car has been corner balanced and had the ride height set properly
· Rear sway bar has been installed
· Changed out the gas pedal to get a better geometry for the pedals (AC cobra pedals)
· Reconfigured the throttle cable routing to work more smoothly
· Custom aftermarket stainless steel exhaust. The stock exhaust that comes on the Daytona Coupes choked the engine severely. I had a custom hot rod shop design and fabricate new sidepipes which increase flow dramatically.
· Custom Momo Cobra removable race steering wheel with Russ Thompson turn-signal system
· Russ Thompson rear window kit

I see you have a removable steering wheel with the RT turn signal. Some say that wasn’t possible. Any idea where that was sourced?

Hey John - I actually had to custom machine an aluminum ring for them to fit properly together. I have a small metal machine shop so that helps a bunch. The removable wheel makes it much easier to get in and out of the car. If you’re interested in more details, let me know.
