    Carb spacer clearance

Hi guys Im thinking of adding this spacer to my 347 stroker: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s.../applications/

Its a 1" spacer, and was concerned about clearance with my hood. I'm running a 347 with a performer rpm (not an airgap manifold), the air-cleaner is a replica 289 hi-po https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sdk-c4dz-9600-c, quikfuel 600vs carb

Think I'm ok with clearance adding a 1" spacer?

You should be able to put a short piece of 2 x 4 or perhaps a book or something that is about 1 1/4"- 1 1/2" on top of your air cleaner and then close your hood and see if it hits... If not, you should have no problem with a 1" spacer.

I have nearly that exact set up in my Mk3.1 and if fits fine. Only difference is I have a Holley 650 double pumper.
