Starting the Dream in Kansas City

Placed my order on Monday this week and got my confirmation for the MK IV. I'm excited like a kid before Christmas. I ordered the complete kit. Planning to use a 351W stroked to 427 with weber setup. I'm looking forward to reading the posts and hoping on getting questions answered if I run into a problem down the road.

Thanks for letting me join the family

Welcome Bossdaddy from another new guy who recently ordered a kit from FFR (Type 65). I live across the state in St. Louis but grew up in Kansas City (Gladstone).
I look forward to following your MK IV build in the forum.

Hello from a new builder who is in about the same shoes as you. MKIV ordered late December - it's pretty fun to have something like this to look forward too.

Welcome and congratulations! I'm a KC native with family in the area. Grew up in OP, Shawnee, Olathe and when I got married settled down in Brookside. What a great city, I still consider it home, even though I moved away 8 years ago.

I just received my roadster at Christmas. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, everyone here is happy to help.

Build thread - Mk4, Coyote, IRS, Wilwood brakes, old-style soft top and accessories.

The distance between "finished" and finished is literally infinite.

Congratulations! My wife is from KC (Raytown) and we've been back there many times. I vividly remember the waiting period before the kit showed up. It's worth the wait.

You have a great resource in Lee's Summit in North Race Cars.
    Mk4 #8861 Complete kit. Delivered: 27 Apr 2016, currently a roller.
Gen-2 Coyote, clutch, TKO600, midshift, and solid axle from Forte. Many pieces from Breeze and Replicarparts.
