I am trying to setup the steering shaft. When I put the bearing retainers and bearing outside the footbox ( like the instructions say) I can't start the coupling onto the steering rack without removing the bolts that retain the bearing and moving upper section of the lower steering shaft towards the center of the chassis which would be outside of the footbox if it was in place. It is like the lower section of the steering shaft is too long. I tried to move the bearing inside the footbox but it interferes with the mount for the throttle pedal(coyote). I am assuming that I will need to reposition the steering shaft on the steering rack splines when it's time to setup the steering but there won't be a way to do that with the drivers pedal box closed up and the lower bracket the wilwood pedal box in place. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe there is a solution I've overlooked.
Thanks
Jeff
