    Crate engine delivery Canadian Style!

    Hi all,
    Just for fun.
I took delivery of my BluePrint engine today.
Trucker didn’t want to drive down to my house that is 200 feet from street and my driveway is a snow covered narrow slope...
So we had to push and tug this 1000 lbs baby down!
    Picture is from security camera.
    Lol!

Awesome, that's the spirit! Lol I'm in Ottawa and we have had a ton of snow this week!

I'd be interested to hear about your experience getting the blueprint engine delivered to Canada!

He didn’t let me the time to reach for my pocket! As soon as the engine was in the garage he turned around and went up the hill. I was his last delivery and a snow storm was coming our way. All he wanted is to get out and go back in town...Lol!

That was a tough delivery. You need a 4x4 tractor with forks (and snow chains). Or a good snow plow for that long driveway.

I feel for you! I'm in Gatineau, Quebec and I just snowblowered a path to my shop in the back last night as well after we got 2' of snow in the last week!
20190120_113534.jpgThis way the view out the back patio door a few days ago
I dread the next few weeks having to clear the driveway to the shop in the back as I will need to get the body and all the part out that will get paint in the next few weeks.

You are going to love that Blueprint engine. But, it looks like you could use a little Colorado style snow removal...

Don't worry, lol, I'm well equipped with a pro taking care of it with the appropriate machinery.
Its just that this trucker was not used to the area and the upcoming snow storm was making him a little nervous.
He was afraid of being unable to go up the slope. Previously I had a local guy deliver to me a 600 lbs package with a similar truck in similar condition without a problem.

As mentionned in previous threads a daytona Coupe.
But since I am a pencil pusher by trade it will be a "boiler plate" one...not much options and will try to stick as much as possible to the book.
For me, it's a huge project!

Hi just saw this post now, I was wondering do you have to jump through many hoops to get a create engine from the states ? I would love to order one as I see some great deals. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks Ciarán

Nope, not difficult at all. I brought up a short block and a bunch of other engine components from California. The vendor arranged the shipping to my driveway, I had to get a broker to clear it. Went the online route, www.clearit.ca easy peasy....
