Paperwork question..
On the sale of a untitled car is simply signing the Factory Five title the way to go? Does anything need to be notarized ? Just looking out for me and the purchaser, and trying to get our ducks in a row so to speak before the actual transaction. This is a purely Michigan transaction, if that matters.
Thanks in advance, Mike

You don't have a title from Factory Five. It's a Certificate of Origin. Only a registered dealer can sign the Certificate of Origin. Unless you're a dealer, you can't do anything but hand that document to the buyer. You'll want to have a bill of sale explaining everything (standard formats available on the web) and having it notarized won't hurt. Good luck though. Unfortunately I did have an issue with the Michigan SOS with a Certificate of Origin that wasn't in my name a couple builds ago. They weren't happy about it. You could call SOS and see what they say. Most states don't seem to have a problem with a transaction of this type, but my experience with Michigan as the buyer was a little rough.

Thanks Paul, I'll get a bill of sale and go from there.
