    Roadster Rear Tires

I need new rear tires to replace my Radial TA 275/50R15s which are no longer available. Will the larger 295/50R15s fit? Have 10” x 15” Halibrands with stock 8.8 rear end and 4” rear frame height. Any +/- input appreciated.

The 295's should fit just fine; however, if you want a stickier 275/50-15 then you may want to consider the Nitto Drag or Mickey T Radials.
I'm running 285/40-17, but I've seen more than a few F-5 Roadsters sporting 295/50-15's out back.

Shown below is the link to a vendor that I've been using for years:

Not necessarilly---There's more to this than is being asked. What vintage is the car and what offset to the rims? Mk1 or 2 have less room than Mk3 which has less than Mk4. 295/50-15 on the FFR 9" rims fit a Mk4 perfectly however the same tire on a wider 10" rim mounted on a Mk3 or earlier could be problematic and may require raising the rear ride height &/or cutting back the 2X3 tube at the rear of the cockpit to avoid rubs.

    So....tell us more.

You’re right, Jeff. My car, FFR312, is a Mk 1 1/2, that I built in 2002. I have crawled underneath the car and there is only about 1/2 “ between the rear Quadra shock and the 275’s on the car now. I am definitely not comfortable thinking I could run a 20mm wider tire. FFR is recommending 255/60’s but I am leaning toward the 275/50 MT’s. Thanks for all the input.
