    Canadian customer

I live about an hour west from London, and would love to visit and hear how your project worked out, plus see the coupe if you still have it.

Still in primer but doing final full build up until a complete tear down before next stage of primer then paint.

Lots of additional touches with the lighting and reflectors required because of the SAAQ requirements.
    More recent picture:
20190110_195859.jpg closing in on the final build up, then tear down, paint and final assembly!

I just had a quick look at your build. That is one of the best ones I've seen. I love the mods you did to it. The dash is like a modern version of the old XKE with the row of switches...beautiful!

Thanks! The dash is actually inspired by the old Toyota 2000GT in layout, with a few custom touches

As you can see, I've just about finished the easy part...

This is a tricky question... I live in Italy right now (5 minute drive from the Monza track), and work in South Africa. That said, my workshop is at my mom's farm just outside Cambridge (Wellington side).

I bought the kit almost two years ago, but figured if I didn't get it to my workshop (outside Cambridge) I will never get started on it. I will be back in Canada full-time mid-2020, but hope to tinker away during my visits home. I'm just about finished stripping the donor (need this finished before I fly in Jan).

It's great to hear you are putting a lid on your 818... now you can drive it year round ! Once I get into the build, I'm sure I'll be pestering you quite a bit!

    Cheers,

Great picture..Is that a field of canola?

I dread driving on gravel roads in my roadster. I worry about those rocks stuck in the tread, that decide to rip out at 60 mph..
