I am planning to build a ffr 33 hotrod with 4.6L or 5.0L Coyote from a mustang.
What do I need to get the engine running?
Can I get the original ECU from the donor car, or should I go with aftermarket?
What alternatives do I have?

The Parts Farm on ebay sells used mustang running gear packages out of mustangs with the PATS turned off. My understanding is that PATS is the biggest issue with using a donor engine and ECU. Here is one of their listings:

I don't know anything about them, I just noticed that they claim to be able to disable the PATS. It might be worth a call to them to find out more.

Holley makes management systems for both the 4.6 and coyote. If you use a new rate coyote it comes with the engine harness and you can get the ECU and required pieces through Ford Racing.
