    Hood Strike plates

I am at the point of hood install specifically the strike plates that attach to the body just under the front lip. Has anyone attached the strike plate using a glue as opposed to the screws and rubber bushings in the build manual? My gasket goes on the hood itself (as opposed to using the bump stops on the body) and I like the clean look of the recess channel in front of the wipers (just a preference). Alternatively maybe some have used countersunk screws to secure the plate for this?

Thanks Papa - that's a great solution. Of course though, my body is already painted . Chalk that one up to this being my 1st build. May have to just bite the bullet and use countersunk screws.

    Papa,
Thanks for digging this up for us.
This solution would allow us to not have to lock the hood unless we wanted to.

    Sir Edwardb,
Thanks for supplementing the manual so well.
Your build documentation helps us all more than you will ever know.

    Steve
