Does anyone k ow if it’s possible to remove the factory immobilizer

I can bypass the immobilized but I’m having other issues like the driving lights don’t work. I have several other little issues that show up so I trying to eliminate the know issues one by one. How can I totally remove the immobilized from the system?

Thanks in advance for your help

    I did it very briefly.

What year is your car, and do you have the wiring diagram for it?

If I recall correctly, the 07NA does not have an immobilizer.

You are correct. The NA models do not have an immobilizer for these years.

Well maybe I’m operating at a lack of knowledge but the ground fron the starter circuit runs through the ECU. When the security is triggered the ECU does not provide a ground to the starter circuit. I initially jumpered the connection path in the relay to complete that portion of the installation and test drives.

Now I have returned to this circuit as I’m working on removing all errors and hacks and returning the relays. I stripped away the wire coating on the ground side of the relay activation circuit. I then ran a ground to this connection. Removed the jumper and replaced the relay. If this is not an immobilizer then I’m looking for a way to reset the security so it no longer blocks the starter relay from energizing.

Thank for the help in clearing up what I need. Do you guys have any thought as to how to reset the security?

You are correct that is goes through the ECU but it is not immobilized, the security system is separate from that. The ECU is going to send out a ground that loops through the clutch switch to allow the starter interlock relay (foot has to be on the clutch relay) to allow the starter to be triggered. The security issue you are seeing is at the starter cut relay that is an input from the keyless entry/security unit. For models without the security unit, there is a jumper so you could eliminate the security by jumping this relay.
