MK-IV Windsheild Replacement w Lexan and side screws question

My glass windsheild cracked, so I am replacing w a lexan one.

I have found the screws from McMaster Carr, 10-32 x 5/16 oval head, stainless. ( 91802A826) Any reason to use a longer or different screw. I have the stainless steel side strips from Whitby I think.

    Thanks

So long as you have enough threads engaged those screws are fine.

Be sure to use anti seize on your screws.
