Passenger Footbox Question
Should the bottom edge of the passenger's footbox outside wall (#35, shown in the pic) be riveted into the 1.5" round tube or should it just be riveted to the passenger footbox floor (#27) without connecting the panels to the round tube? I'm thinking they should both go into the round tube, but the manual is unclear on this point. What did everyone else do?

I riveted both the bottom and side panel to the round tube. Not sure if this is the correct procedure but, I thought it would make that area stronger, wasn't visible and only cost me a couple of minutes and a few rivets. I am sure an expert will answer soon.

I've always riveted into that smaller round tube. Just be careful to hit the high point of the tube, e.g. where the panel is contacting it.

x4...Same here. However, I wasn't able to rivet the floor pan into the tube that runs across from the bottom as its at a different height and distorts the panel. a bit.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I've got it drilled and its all set now.
