    Hood Latches

I need to order the hood latches. Is anyone using something different than the Originals?

I'm leaning towards these from Amazon for a modern style lock.

Very poor functionality rating at Amazon. Personally don't like them. Prefer the original look but would get the simple plate, pin & lanyard style if I wanted to go modern.

I too am more of a traditionalist. In addition, I use the latches only to hold the hood closed, not lock it. I have never used the locks.
If Brute Force doesn't work, you're not using enough of it.

I would never consider something with a 3 star or less rating. If you want that style latch, try looking at places like Summit, Jegs, or Speedway to see if you can get better quality.

I am also in the that is not what belongs on a Cobra camp. But, it's your car.

I have locked mine when staying overnight in a hotel. I make sure that I unlock them before driving the car in case emergency access is needed.

    Revising my question then.

Does anyone use a High Quality, billet machined, USA made Hood latch that looks a little more modern?
